Defying all odds—Torrez transcended as a beautiful rose from the concrete streets of the Bronx. She overcame abandonment, homelessness, neglect and unimaginable abuse to take the national stage as a distinguished media maven. She has made her mark on the radio and television industry through her work at Music Choice, on the Russ Parr Morning Show, WUSL Power 99, WCDX iPower 92.1 and Hot 97.

Her successful “Pink Birthday Party” charity event benefiting breast cancer research received national attention. TT Torrez also founded the “I Will Wait Until I Graduate” campaign to encourage young girls to graduate before parenting a child. Torrez recently received the award for “Best Community Service” from the VA Association of Broadcasters for her “Prom-A-Thon” campaign that provided over 500 girls with prom dresses, make-up and hair to attend their high school prom. TT continues to visit local schools, charities, and children's organizations around the five boroughs and tri-state area.
In her memoir, From Trials to Triumph, Torrez pours it all out on the page.
